Instructor: JC Briar
Brioche rib worked in two colors is amazing. Even though you work one-row stripes, you get vertical ribs of color in a squishy, cozy, reversible fabric. And when worked in the round, it’s a simple two-round pattern. Learn all the basics in this class by starting a pair of wristers: working brioche slip stitches both on knit round and on purl rounds; casting on and binding off effectively; keeping your yarns from tangling; and fixing mistakes.
Experience Level: Ability to work in small rounds using double point needles, two circulars, or the Magic Loop technique; no experience knitting brioche required.
What to bring: Smooth, plain, worsted-weight yarn in two solid, contrasting colors; size US 6 (4 mm) needles for working in small rounds (a set of double point needles, a pair of circulars, or one long Magic Loop circular); stitch marker to mark the beginning of rounds; crochet hook roughly US size G/6 (4 mm)
