October 26 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm| $50.00
Instructor: Judy Taylor
Rug hooking is an artistic craft that has existed since the time of the Vikings. Loops of yarn or fabric are pulled through a stiff woven base to create a design that will result in a beautiful rug or wall hanging. In this class, Judy will introduce you to three techniques for rug hooking: hooking with yarn, T-shirt strips and wool fabric strips. You will be inducted into the mysteries of transferring designs to the backing, determining which backing to use, deciding whether or not to use a frame and how to clean and care for your hand-hooked creation. This class is a great introduction to an ancient craft.
Experience Level: No experience necessary
What to bring: You will need scissors and we recommend you wear long pants.
