The colors of blue, yellow, rust and gray move in and out with each other to create this craftsman style rug. The wool was sourced locally and the yarn was custom spun at Mora Valley Spinning Mill in New Mexico. The weave structure is a weft-faced twill. It took three throws of the shuttle to create one visible line of the rug, so it is extremely sturdy. I find it especially satisfying to weave with wool that is locally sourced. There is a lot of joy in this rug that wants to be shared with you.
